BACKGROUND

How did you get into your field?

After taking my first Pilates Reformer class, I was hooked! I decided to get certified shortly after and have enjoyed my work ever since.

What is your training background?

I am Balanced Body certified and have been teaching for 12 years.

Who influenced your career path (who have you enjoyed learning from, mentor, etc.)?

I was fortunate to have an amazing teacher and mentor who understood the body and the benefits of Pilates. She taught me a great deal about movement and about whole body connection.

What makes you love your field?

There are so many things I love about my field! Mostly, I love the way Pilates can heal a variety of ailments through proper form and alignment. Also, I enjoy teaching clients how everything in the body is connected, how to effectively work towards optimal health and wellness. As well as watching my clients experience the feeling of strength and after a workout.

INTERESTS/SPECIALITIES

What kind of clients do you love working with?

Each client brings something unique or brings a specific goal. I enjoy the challenge of working with every client.

What sets you apart?

My experience, specifically with every type of client out there, really sets me apart. I have also used Pilates to heal from my own experiences – C-section, hernia surgery, and muscle atrophy.

What’s your mission?

My mission is to help heal and bring joy to clients through movement and through body awareness. Also, I want to teach clients that wellness is achieved by a combination of movement, eating habits, mental health, and self-care.

HOBBIES

What brings you joy? What do you do with your spare time?

I love being outside with my kids. Hiking, creeking, bike rides, and adventures of all kinds!
